Washington State Department of Social & Health ServicesOn behalf of the Children's Justice Task Force co-chairs Jana Heyd and Commissioner Jerri Potts, Program Staff and Children's Administration, we invite you to join us at the 17th annual Children's Justice Conference, as a returning participant or a first time attendee.

The focus of the Conference is "Racial Disproportionality in the Child Welfare System." Various presentations that address disproportionality and the programs and projects undertaken to speak to this issue are scheduled. An array of sessions on a myriad of subjects from prevention to treatment options in the child welfare practice, ethics sessions for practitioners, specialty tracks for providers and sessions that center on the well being and preservation of the family are being offered.

We expect that the 2009 Children's Justice Conference will provide an educational and inspiration venue for all participants. Your attendance will be welcome!
