A-06 - Assessing Attachment for Family Court Decision Making AdvancedChild Welfare Legal
We report on an innovative method for assessment and formulation of attachment issues in family court decision making. Developed by the International Association for the Study of Attachment (IASA), the IASA Family Attachment Court Protocol has been piloted before 15 judges. The judges and most of the involved court or child welfare professionals expressed approval. The clarity of the reports often resulted in out-of-court agreements that reduced overall costs. Theory, protocol, expert training, and case examples will be presented.
